About the process
Peer Review and Publication Policy
The Journal of Language and Literature (JLL Journal) is committed to ensuring the highest standards of academic quality and integrity. To achieve this, the journal operates a transparent and rigorous open peer review system.
Scope of Submissions
-
The journal accepts original research articles strictly within the fields of language and literature.
-
Submissions on related topics that contribute to these disciplines are also considered.
-
The primary language of submission and publication is English. Manuscripts in German or Spanish may be considered upon prior approval, although English is preferred as the standard language of publication.
Peer Review Process
-
Initial Editorial Screening
-
All submissions are first reviewed by the Editor for scope, relevance, and adherence to submission guidelines.
-
-
Technical and External Review
-
Manuscripts passing the initial check are sent to international peer reviewers, who may be selected from both domestic and foreign institutions.
-
The first stage involves a technical review, ensuring compliance with ethical, methodological, and formatting standards.
-
-
Scientific Evaluation
-
Submissions that successfully pass the technical stage undergo a rigorous scientific review by experts in the field.
-
If issues are identified, authors are invited to revise and resubmit their manuscripts based on reviewers’ feedback.
-
-
Final Decision
-
Articles receiving positive evaluations are submitted to the Editor-in-Chief, who makes the final decision regarding acceptance.
-
Accepted manuscripts are prepared for publication, assigned a DOI, and uploaded to the official journal website, at which point they are considered formally published.
-
Publication Rights and Author Responsibilities
-
Copyright for all published articles is held by the Journal of Language and Literature.
-
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy and integrity of their work.
-
The journal operates a no-fee policy: authors are not required to pay article processing or publication charges.
